Zusammenfassung

Auf kritische Weise untersucht Marius Thomay das westliche Nachhaltigkeitsverständnis mit Hilfe des Post-Development-Ansatzes sowie mit dekolonialen Theorien. Der Autor arbeitet insbesondere die diesem Verständnis zugrunde liegende Vorstellung der Natur-Mensch-Beziehung heraus. Aufbauend auf den hierdurch gewonnenen Einsichten werden die Nachhaltigkeitsverständnisse und Konzepte des Natur-Mensch-Verhältnisses beleuchtet, wie sie innerhalb jener beiden Theorieansätze debattiert und vertreten werden. Somit lädt das Buch dazu ein, andere Perspektiven kennen zu lernen und das eigene Denken und Sein zu „dekolonisieren“.
