Zusammenfassung
Im Mittelpunkt dieses Buches steht ein bisher unentdecktes Werk der berühmten jüdischen Sozialarbeitsprotagonistin Siddy Wronsky (1883–1947) aus Berlin. In ihrem Roman „Sand und Sterne“ beschreibt Wronsky die Einwanderung von vier jüdischen Jugendlichen aus Nazi-Deutschland nach Palästina und ihre Bildungsarbeit im neuen Land. Dieses Buch ist – wie die Analyse zeigt – eingebettet in die Übersetzung Sozialer Arbeit als neuer „gendered profession“ von Deutschland in das Mandatsgebiet Palästina. Darüber hinaus zeigt es Wronsky als Akteurin des transnationalen Transfers feministischer Ideen mit Bezug zu Nationalität/nationaler Identität sowie den Aspekt des feministischen literarischen Aktivismus mit Bezug zu Wohlfahrt und sozialen Ideen und Theorien.
