Der Einfluss des Blickverhaltens auf die Urteilsbildung über Politiker

Zusammenfassung

Die vorliegende Studie ergänzt den Forschungsstand zur Wirkung visueller Kommunikation politischer Akteure durch eine innovative Methodenkombination aus Eye-Tracking und Real-Time-Response-Messung. Die Studie untersucht, inwiefern nonverbales Verhalten sowohl die visuelle Aufmerksamkeit als auch die (spontanen) Urteile von RezipientInnen beeinflusst. Außerdem wird der Zusammenhang aus Blickverhalten und Urteilsbildung analysiert. Dazu sahen TeilnehmerInnen der Studie Videos von Politikerreden entweder mit oder ohne Ton. Befunde zeigen, dass spezifisches körpersprachliches Verhalten (z.B. emotionale Gesichtsausdrücke oder Handgesten) zum einen die visuelle Aufmerksamkeit lenkt. Zum anderen haben sowohl verbale Äußerungen als auch nonverbales Verhalten Auswirkungen auf die spontane Urteilsbildung über Politiker. Effekte nonverbaler Kommunikation treten insbesondere dann auf, wenn kein Ton verfügbar ist. Die Ergebnisse deuten zudem auf einzelne Zusammenhänge zwischen Blickverhalten und Urteilsbildung hin.
