Zusammenfassung

From a provocative reading of Plato and Aristotle, the Transcendence Theory of Art challenges traditional notions concerning the autonomy of art, essentialism and art as such. As a methodological model, it bridges theoretical analysis and art practice, offering a fresh approach to key areas in philosophy. Christine Stefanie Kunkler introduces original concepts like »Index-ART« and the »Aesthetic Syllogism« while proposing the »Force Field of Art« as an alternative to Arthur Danto’s »Art World.« This study explores how a philosophical reflection on texts and images can deepen our understanding of meaning, interpretation, and misinformation in contemporary culture.
