Zusammenfassung

Nach Dei Verbum haben Exegeten eine doppelte Aufgabe: Die Bedeutung der biblischen Texte in ihrem historischen Kontext bestimmen und die Schrift auch »in dem Geist lesen, in dem sie geschrieben wurde«, also die »Einheit der ganzen Schrift«, die »Analogie des Glaubens« und die »lebendige Tradition der ganzen Kirche« beachten. Die Verknüpfung dieser Aufgaben berührt grundlegende Aspekte der Hermeneutik und Ekklesiologie und erfordert den Dialog zwischen Exegese und Systematik. Sie führt die katholische Theologie in den ökumenischen Dialog und verlangt eine Orientierung im interreligiösen und politischen Feld. Mit Beiträgen von Gary A.
