Z'Flucht. Zeitschrift für Flucht- und Flüchtlingsforschung
German Journal of Forced Migration and Refugee StudiesThe Zeitschrift für Flucht- und Flüchtlingsforschung, German Journal of Forced Migration and Refugee Studies (Z’Flucht) is a peer-reviewed journal which publishes academic works from diverse disciplines on questions related to forced migration and refugee studies. The journal is published twice a year by Nomos publishing house in association with the German Network for Forced Migration Research (Netzwerk Fluchtforschung e.V.) and the editors.
Z’Flucht provides a forum for exchange in the field of forced migration and refugee studies through empirical research, theoretical reflections and methodological discussions. By means of international, regional or national explorations, scholars may address questions related to the conditions, forms and consequences of forced migration and displacement, the protection of refugees and efforts towards durable solutions, such as return, (re)integration or resettlement. Moreover, refugees’ activities and strategies to cope with their experiences may be analysed. The journal includes all categories of people who have been forcibly displaced or who have fled from their homes due to violence, and the debates, discourses, practices, politics and concepts related to them. Since such topics can be explored from diverse perspectives, the journal places special emphasis on interdisciplinary discussions and comprises various disciplines, including law, sociology, history, politics, philosophy, ethnology, psychology, geography and economics, linguistics and literary studies.
As displacement and forced migration not only represent a growing field of research but also a broad political and practical area, this journal aims to promote exchange between academia and practice.
Z’Flucht publishes works in three categories: academic articles, forum articles as well as literature reviews and conference reports.
Academic articles present research findings on specific questions related to forced migration and refugees which are methodically and theoretically reflected on, consider and further the current state of research in this field. These articles undergo a double-blind peer review and are limited to 80,000 characters (including spaces).
Forum articles may include shorter (field) research reports, address theoretical, methodological, conceptual and ethical questions or reflect on current developments and discussions in forced migration and refugee studies. Manuscripts from practitioners are welcome. The editors of the journal review all forum articles, which are limited to 35,000 characters (including spaces).
Literature reviews and conference reports can relate to individual or a number of new publications or conferences from the last two years which address aspects of forced migration and refugee studies. In view of the journal’s interdisciplinary focus, publications or conferences which cover several disciplines are preferred. Individual reviews are limited to 6,000 characters (including spaces), while multiple book reviews or conference reports should be no longer than 20,000 characters (including spaces).
The journal predominantly publishes works in German, but studies written in English and French may also be considered.

RuZ - Recht und Zugang
Zugang zum kulturellen Erbe und WissenschaftskommunikationRuZ - Recht und Zugang addresses all legal issues related to accessing digital collections, whether these may be libraries, museums or archives. The topics are almost unlimited and range from copyright to data protection law to labour law. Practical relevance is crucial : What requirements must be met in order to make digital content publicly accessible? What needs to be considered when collections want to digitize their holdings? Who is responsible for ensuring that the legal requirements are met? After all, it's about communication, because the most beautiful and important collections remain useless, if no one looks at them and nobody talks about them.
Recht und Zugang not only aspires to look at collections in their entirety - from the municipal art library to the world-famous museum, but also to set the scene in which collections acquire their contents and process them in such a way that they are perceived and used. Recht und Zugang aims at the institutions themselves, ie at museums, archives and libraries, but also informs advisors who support collections in fulfilling their tasks. The journal’s aim is also reflected in the editorial board, which consists of experts who work in and for collections and assist those on a daily basis.
Recht und Zugang is currently published with two issues a year and aspires to be as open as possible. The contributions are available in the Nomos eLibrary, published under a CC-BY-SA license.

Forum
Islamisch-Theologische Studien - Islamic-Theological StudiesThe journal Forum Islamic-Theological Studies is an international and interdisciplinary academic journal that aims to foster academic discourse and the conceptualisation of Islamic theology and religious teaching, in particular in a European context. Emphatically transcending denominations, multi-perspectival and geared towards stimulating discussion, the series endeavours—as a platform of exchange between traditional Islamic scholarship and positions and modern-day issues and approaches—to spark academic debates in not only the various sub-disciplines of Islamic theology, but also on topics relating to the sociology of religion and religious education that affect both ‘Islam’ and Muslims.
Because it is intended as an intra and interreligious medium, the journal Forum Islamic-Theological Studies welcomes contributions from related disciplines such as Islamic studies, religious studies, the sociology of religion and other theological fields. It also places particular emphasis on reflecting the diversity within Islam by allowing a variety of voices from different Islamic denominations or legal schools of thought to have their say.
Not only is the journal intended for the publication of original contributions from the established spectrum of academic disciplines relating to Islam, such as Quran studies and Quran exegesis, Hadith studies, standard teachings, mysticism, ethics and philosophy, systematic and discursive theology, religious education and teaching religion, but also new studies on the subjects of Christian education and pastoral care, Islam and plurality, the findings of interreligious research and analyses on Muslims and Islam in Europe from the sociology of religion.
The journal Forum Islamic-Theological Studies will appeal to not only academics and students from the fields of Islamic theology and religious education, but also to those from related disciplines, such as Oriental studies, Islamic studies or the sociology of religion, and to followers of other faiths. It also strives to appeal to the actors and functionaries of religious institutions, such as mosque associations, Muslim associations and Muslims’ representative bodies, as well as religious education teachers, teachers in general, schools and other educational institutions.
In addition to disseminating the findings of academic studies written in both German and English, the journal Forum Islamic-Theological Studies publishes reviews. Before they are published, each contribution undergoes a double-blind peer review, which is based on the principle of mutual anonymity.

Trauma Kultur Gesellschaft
Trauma Kultur GesellschaftTrauma Culture Society is an interdisciplinary journal of psychotraumatology. It is edited by closely cooperating experts from medicine, psychology and psychoanalysis, social and cultural sciences, and philosophy. In a broad spectrum of topics, it always deals with severe psychological injuries from which people suffer in the long term, often for life. Not only are individual fates illuminated and the experience of the wounded examined, but medical, psychodynamic, and therapeutic treatment options are also discussed, and the social significance of and cultural approaches to trauma are explored. Excessive violence, its manifold preconditions as well as its subjective and social, also intergenerationally inherited consequences have shaped human coexistence since time immemorial. Traumas are part of the lives of many people - also in our present, worldwide. The new journal is dedicated to this complex issue. It combines psychotraumatological perspectives with the analysis of social, historical and cultural forms of life, in which very different ways of dealing with psychological injuries and their social consequences can be observed - from denial, trivialization or repression to conscious enlightenment in political cultures of remembrance, which commemorate the victims of excessive violence as well as the transgenerational transmission of their suffering even after decades and centuries. This can take many forms and media. The booklets contain original works, workshop reports from current research projects, practice reports, book and film reviews, and clinical case presentations.
