Das politische System Russlands

Authors:
Publisher:
 2023

Summary

This textbook analyzes Russia’s political system and the trajectories of its post-Soviet evolution. It covers the main features of Russia’s political institutions, relevant political and societal actors, public opinion, etc. Guided by the theoretical perspective of institutionalist authoritarianism, the book traces Russia’s transformation from weakly institutionalized “feckless pluralism” to a consolidated authoritarian regime, unraveling its patronalistic logic. The book is geared towards readers studying Russian politics and government at any level.
