Das englischsprachige Werk bietet eine Übersicht über die Möglichkeiten zur Forderungsbeitreibung in 23 europäischen Ländern.

In einem Einführungskapitel beschreibt die Studie die einschlägigen europäischen und internationalen Rechtsnormen und deren Entwicklungsperspektiven. Die 23 Länderkapitel, die von Juristen aus den betreffenden Rechtssystemen verfasst worden sind, zeigen die jeweiligen Rechtsgrundlagen und Verfahrensabläufe praxisnah auf. Unter anderem werden Fragen über Kosten und Dauer eines Verfahrens oder die Vermeidung von Forderungsverlusten beantwortet. Ein Formularteil ist als Anlage beigefügt.

Damit der Leser die relevanten Informationen schnell findet, sind alle Länderkapitel gleich strukturiert. Für jedes Land gibt es weiterführende Literaturhinweise sowie Links zu Websites. Eine Synopse stellt die wesentlichen Kernaspekte vergleichend gegenüber.

Die Studie berücksichtigt die relevanten Rechtsentwicklungen bis Juni 2007. Sie soll regelmäßig aktualisiert und auf weitere Länder ausgedehnt werden.
