[How the Word became Scripture. History of the Creation of the Bible] Which motive pushed Luke the Evangelist on to write an account of Jesus? What situation was Paul the Apostle in when he wrote his letters? To whom told Jeremiah the Prophet his revelations first? This book describes those people who composed Bible texts. It observes on their time, their experiences, their company. Vivid scenes are used to illustrate the historical contexts from which biblical texts originated: starting from the beginnings of textualization of religious words by a small community of people living in the mountaineous region of Palestine, who worshiped their God Jahwe as National Divinity, continuing with the development towards the conviction that this God is the only God existing, up to the spreading of the believe that the son of this God has appeared as messiah all over the Roman Empire.
