Die United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) hat sich seit 1988 zum Kaufrecht für den internationalen Warenkauf entwickelt. Zwischenzeitlich haben 70 Staaten, zwischen denen mehr als zwei Drittel des Welthandels abgewickelt wird, die CISG ratifiziert.
