Summary
The Magazine for Cultural Studies serves as a critical medium for discussions about 'culture', cultural studies, and its methodical procedures. Based around the current state of international research, cultural phenomena are considered in a way that is both empirically concise and theoretically advanced. The magazine's content also reflects the most recent interractions between the humanities and sciences. This issue examines body-based social discrimination from the perspective of literary and cultural studies, pyschology, medicine, and sports science, and shows how differences are discursively and socially produced and how unequal power relations become naturalised.
