Summary

The present edition of the Rosenzweig Yearbook is the result of a congress held in Coimbra in December 2021, which was attended by the world's most distinguished Rosenzweig interpreters. The congress was entitled "'We know nothing of God even now.' Transcendence and Revelation on the Centenary of Franz Rosenzweig's Star of Redemption". The various contributions in this volume address topics such as dialogical ethics, interreligious dialogue, the phenomenology of love and interpretations of history and transcendence. They demonstrate the immense influence of Rosenzweig's life and work on philosophy and Jewish thought, and they also address previously less noted approaches by the great thinker, such as the role of algebra and his perspectives on pedagogical and therapeutic tasks. This book also includes a new translation of Rosenzweig's 'Globe' by Malcolm Goldman, which reveals the philosopher's sensitivity to the historical dynamics of world geopolitics. Frank Hahn's lively account of the Rosenzweig Congress in Frankfurt in July 2022 concludes the volume and is another sign of the vitality of Rosenzweig's thought. With contributions byEdmundo Balsemão Pires | Myriam Bienenstock | Cláudio Alexandre S.
