Die ethno-historische Studie dokumentiert die mythischen Überlieferungen, Traditionen und die Geschichte der Nagerkuts, einem Bergvolk aus dem Karakorum-Gebirge / Nordpakistan. Der Autor reist seit den 1980er Jahren in die Region und schildert die Lebenswelt eines Volkes, das bis 1972 als eines der letzten Sakralkönigreiche der Welt existierte.
