Summary

The photo-text book “Women in Divided Germany” provides insights into the everyday lives of women in East and West Germany since the 1970s. It presents 110 photos and documents as well as concise texts in German and English that trace the different realities of women's lives in Germany. QR codes with links to short film documents and video interviews provide multimedia content. The book is a companion volume to the exhibition “Women in Divided Germany”, which is published by the Federal Foundation for the Study of the Communist Dictatorship in Germany.
