Zusammenfassung

Wie sieht es mit Meeresnaturschutz und Fischereimanagement an den Außengrenzen der EU aus? Die aktuelle Publikation beantwortet diese nahezu unbekannte, jedoch wichtige Frage.

Teil 1 behandelt Rechtsfragen der Fischerei und der landseitigen Verschmutzung in der Ostsee unter Einbeziehung Russlands und die Frage, ob die Meeresschutzgebiete in der Ostsee bereits ein ökologisch kohärentes Netzwerk bilden. Teil 2 analysiert den Rechtsrahmen zur Regelung der Fischereiaktivitäten der EU vor Westafrika und befasst sich mit dem Schutz und Management der Fischerei im Südostatlantik. Teil 3 spürt integrierten Ansätzen zum Schutz und zur Nutzung des Schwarzen Meeres auf und enthält Beiträge zu Meeresschutzgebieten und ökologischen Korridoren. Im letzten Teil geht es um den Einfluss der EU und die Rolle der Meeresstrategierahmenrichtlinie und ihres ökosystemaren Ansatzes außerhalb Europas und um traditionelle Ansätze zur nachhaltigen Bewirtschaftung der Fischereibestände in indonesischen Gewässern.
