Zusammenfassung

Friedensprozesse sind oft durch eine sich vertiefende Segregation verfeindeter Gruppen, Abschottung und gelegentlichem Wiederaufflammen von Gewalt gekennzeichnet. Zugleich verlieren alte Kontrollmechanismen ihre Legitimität, was zu einem gesteigerten, jetzt aber nach innen gerichteten Bedürfnis nach Ordnung führt: Community-interne Gewaltformen gelten nun als gefährlich und werden als Indikatoren für eine moralische Erosion der Wir-Gemeinschaft gedeutet. Die Kehrseite des stark emotional geprägten Gemeinschaftsethos sind Selbstjustiz und rigide, Konformität erzwingende soziale Kontrolle, die durch Gewalt abgestützt wird – nicht als Überbleibsel des Konflikts, sondern als Teil der Friedensordnung.

Nadja Maurer untersucht die in lokalen Diskursen und Praktiken verankerten Konzeptionen von Sicherheit der Bewohner marginalisierter Viertel. Un/Sicherheit wird zwar im Frieden neu ausgehandelt und konzipiert, bleibt aber in Ermangelung anderer, gruppenübergreifender Narrative eine bestimmende Wissenskategorie, die an der Formierung soziopolitischer Gemeinschaften beteiligt ist.
