Zusammenfassung

In diesem Band wird untersucht, wie Sicherheit zur Entstehung neuer Formen der Politik und zur Bildung, Differenzierung und Transformation politischer Einheiten beiträgt. Die Kapitel analysieren die historischen Dynamiken von Versicherheitlichung und Politisierung und verbinden dabei geschichts- mit sozialwissenschaftlichen Perspektiven. Die untersuchten Gegenstandsbereiche umfassen politische Gründungsszenarien, die Entstehung und den Wandel von Staatlichkeit, die Veränderung zwischenstaatlicher Bündnisse, transnationaler Netzwerke und internationaler Organisationen sowie Prozesse der Trennung von Religion und Politik als gesellschaftliche Sphären.
