Zusammenfassung

Dieser Band eröffnet eine interdisziplinäre Buchreihe zu transozeanischen literarischen und kulturellen Verflechtungen und bietet Leser:innen fundierte Einblicke in die komplexen Wechselwirkungen zwischen Ozeanen und kulturellen Praktiken. Aus literatur- und kulturwissenschaftlicher Perspektive wird gezeigt, wie Meere als Orte von Verflechtung, Migration, Erinnerung, Klimawandel und Infrastruktur fungieren. Die Beiträge verbinden dekoloniale, ökologische und epistemologische Zugänge mit Ansätzen des Kulturtransfers, um Ozeane als vielschichtige Akteure globaler Geschichte und gegenwärtiger Realitäten zu begreifen. Zielgruppen sind Forschende und Studierende der Literatur-, Kultur- und Umweltwissenschaften sowie all diejenigen, die an einer Auseinandersetzung mit den Weltmeeren aus einer transnationalen und postkolonialen Perspektive interessiert sind.
