Zusammenfassung

Im Juni 2021 nahm die Europäische Staatsanwaltschaft (EPPO) ihre Tätigkeit zur Ermittlung und Verfolgung von Straftaten zum Nachteil der finanziellen Interessen der Europäischen Union auf. Auf der Grundlage erster praktischer Erfahrungen und theoretischer Überlegungen zur Funktionsweise der EPPO haben sich mehrere Bereiche ergeben, in denen Verbesserungen ihres Rechtsrahmens – insbesondere der Verordnung (EU) 2017/1939 des Rates (EPPO-Verordnung) – erforderlich sind. Dieser Band vereint Beiträge aus Praxis, Behörden und Wissenschaft, welche die Struktur der EPPO analysieren und darauf abzielen, die Rolle der EPPO im europäischen Raum der Freiheit, der Sicherheit und des Rechts zu stärken.
