Zusammenfassung

Dieses innovative Buch untersucht zwei supranationale Energieregionen: ECOWAS und die EU. Der Autor erklärt die Steuerung regionaler Energiesysteme aus der Perspektive der internationalen politischen Ökonomie. Er führt eine vergleichende institutionelle Analyse der Energieregionen der ECOWAS und der EU durch und zeigt den Wandel von einer monozentrischen zu einer polyzentrischen Energie-Governance auf sowie einen Weg zur Entwicklung eines robusten regionalen Energie-Governance-Regimes, das auf den „Design-Prinzipien“ der Nobelpreisträgerin Elinor Ostrom basiert.

Das Buch richtet sich an Politikwissenschaftler und politische Ökonomen mit Interesse an Energiestudien und vergleichendem Regionalismus und ist für Studenten, Akademiker und politische Entscheidungsträger gleichermaßen zugänglich.
