Zusammenfassung

Paul Malte Behne analysiert auf der Grundlage umfangreicher Feldforschung im Libanon den Effekt von UN-Friedensmissionen. Am Beispiel der United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) wird die Interdependenz von Staatsstrukturen im Einsatzgebiet und UN-Missionen abgebildet. Die Analyse stützt sich auf 2023 geführte Interviews mit UNIFIL Soldat:innen und der libanesischen Zivilbevölkerung im Südlibanon. Aus den Forschungsergebnissen können Schlüsse zur effektiveren Gestaltung von Friedensmissionen gezogen werden. Paul Malte Behne forscht zu politischen und strategischen Fragen von Konfliktlösung
