Zusammenfassung

Verbote der Einzeladoption durch homosexuelle Personen, der Stiefkindadoption sowie der grenzüberschreitenden Anerkennung von Eltern-Kind-Verhältnissen in gleichgeschlechtlichen Partnerschaften stellen drängende menschenrechtliche Herausforderungen dar. Das Buch untersucht diese Konstellationen und die hierzu ergangene Rechtsprechung des EGMR. Mit einer stringenten Methodik werden die Entscheidungen am inneren Gefüge der EMRK gemessen, wobei Stärken ebenso deutlich werden wie die Grenzen des Schutzes, der in diesem Rahmen gewährt wird – Grenzen, die vor allem durch die Berufung auf die ‚gemeinschaftliche Moral‘ geprägt werden. Der Autor ist ein auf Familien- und Menschenrecht spezialisierter Wissenschaftler mit Wirkungsorten in Griechenland und auf Zypern.
