This series provides an international platform for the study of the entire range of topics relating to sexual health: sexual and gender diversity, sexually transmitted diseases, reproductive health, sexual rights and sexualized violence. Incorporating both an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approach, and focusing on the field in which public health, health promotion and prevention, social work, sociology and law overlap, the series publishes empirical and theoretical studies which foster a better understanding of (sexual) health and the social participation of people with different gender identities, sexualities and sexual behaviour.

Science and technology are crucial drivers of societal change. Yet, a paradox is embedded in the current situation. On the one hand, it seems that societies are more dependent than ever on science and technology to solve social problems. On the other hand, scientific and technological contributions are deeply controversial, right up to the denial of their significance. It also seems that with developments like digitalisation and climate change or the environmental crisis, changes in science and technology are intimately connected with changes in society—and vice versa. The exact reach of these presumed shifts is a matter for empirical and conceptual inquiry—but already various complex phenomena, like emotive public outbursts, resistance and criticism, can be observed. Controversies and criticism about the forms, limitations and consequences of science and technology alike have become more intense. However, it also seems that there are shifts in the epistemic tectonics of contemporary societies. Against this backdrop, the series of publications entitled ‘Wissenschafts- und Technikforschung’ (Science and Technology Studies) provides a forum in which these developments can be researched in different dimensions, with diverse approaches from across the entire spectrum of science and technology studies. What kind of significant changes to scientific knowledge production and the genesis, production and application of technology can currently be observed? How could these be analysed in the best way and what scientific instruments and methods must be developed for this purpose? In order to find answers to these questions, theories and methods from various thematically relevant disciplines, especially from sociology, philosophy, social anthropology and history, will be applied. This may result in an integral or rather agonistic science and technology studies programme. In any case, it will generate a better self-understanding of science and technology studies within this series. The series provides both foundational knowledge in the all scientific disciplines involved as well as guidelines for decision makers and all those interested in this subject area.

In our times of globalisation, academic research is increasingly focusing on subjects such as migration and integration. Several thousands of people flee their home countries every day, many of whom feel forced to do so for economic reasons. Migrants and their descendants are now part and parcel of life in the countries that take them in, as many of them have settled permanently in their adopted homes. These immigrants will affect the future of these countries and also often of their countries of origin, among other things by participating in fields such as education, employment, sport and culture. The series of publications discusses all the issues relevant to research on migration and immigration and welcomes studies from all disciplines. Among other things, it is committed to publishing studies that endeavour to understand the causes and effects of migration and border demarcation better by using theoretical or empirical approaches, which are either quality or quantity-oriented. The series therefore contributes to an understanding and the promotion of the process of integration in all its possible dimensions. It considers migration and integration not only on an individual migrant level, but also from the point of view of relevant organisations and the state with its particular geographical, political, economic and cultural characteristics, a knowledge of which is necessary to be able to fully comprehend the global process of migration and integration. In this way, the series not only provides basic knowledge on migration and integration, but also offers guidance to decision makers in politics and society as well as to an interested public.

Gesundheitsforschung. Interdisziplinäre Perspektiven (G.IP) is a series edited by Prof. Dr. Elisabeth André, Prof. Dr. Alexandra Manzei-Gorsky, and Prof. Dr. Claudia Traidl-Hoffmann in cooperation with the Center for Interdisciplinary Health Research (ZIG) at the University of Augsburg. The aim of the G.IP series is to take the demands of interdisciplinary research seriously and to make the latest findings from health research available across disciplines. The G.IP series publishes in two lines: First, the special issues examine current health topics from an interdisciplinary perspective and are edited by a specifically composed interdisciplinary team of experts. Second, special issues on specific questions of interdisciplinary health research are published regularly. This series publishes both monographs and anthologies written in German. What should we do? What should we not do? What is good conduct? What is the right thing to do? Thanks to our freedom and in our human dignity, such moral and ethical questions arise and challenge us. Ethics as a science that reflects on and examines morality strives to contribute to the clarification of these and similar questions and to offer ethical guidance. The series of publications entitled ‘Ethik – Ethics’ offers a forum for this ethical discourse. It focuses on the ethics of digital transformation and the ethics of so-called ‘artificial intelligence’ or data-based systems, on business, financial and corporate ethics as well as on the ethics of human rights. ‘Ethik – Ethics’ is characterised by the interplay of theologically ethical and philosophically ethical investigations, which can also go beyond these focal points. This series is characterised by excellent studies that identify new and innovative questions, develop approaches to address them and deal with fundamental ethical as well as specialised ethical topics.
