This series of publications deals with Vietnam’s politics, society, economy and foreign relations. It is aimed at a broad readership from the fields of science, business and politics, and, in general, at readers interested in Vietnam and its neighbouring countries. The studies in the series aim to inform its readership, especially its Western audience, objectively and competently about today’s Vietnam and its role in an increasingly important region of the world: South East Asia and East Asia. As Vietnam is a dynamic state, its internal development and foreign relations are undergoing considerable change.

The book series AGENT. New Theses in Performance Research aims to provide a public forum for the dissemination of excellent research in the field of Theatre and Performance Studies. It encourages outstanding young researchers to contribute their Master and PhD dissertations focusing on topics related to dance, theatre and performance in a global context, as well as music theatre, video art, installation art, activist performances and digital theatre. These works are written in English or Dutch and are informed by philosophical approaches to aesthetics and ethics, by sociological and political concepts as well as critical postcolonial, queer and gender theories. Access to such research texts brings a knowledge of historiographical and theoretical foundations to the public.

As a social and political phenomenon, antisemitism has been and continues to be structured in multiple dimensions and found in almost every social context. Therefore, esearch into the structures, contexts and dynamics of antisemitism cannot be restricted to any one specific discipline, theoretical construct, avenue of research, or methodology - just as antisemitism itself obeys no such restrictions. The "Interdisciplinary Studies on Antisemitism" series will address this plurality, presenting a broad spectrum of research from the social sciences, cultural studies and the humanities, thus contributing to a deeper understanding of antisemitism.

Concern for oneself, for others and for the environment plays a significant role in both individuals’ lives and social institutions. This series publishes studies which explain the various dimensions of the concept of concern from the point of view of theology, social theory, cultural hermeneutics, anthropology or normative ethics and, where appropriate, attempt to critically evaluate or justify them. Starting from this specific field of research but also taking into account possible links to other subject areas, the studies in this series examine relevant epistemological and practical perspectives found in the interplay between the factuality, limitation and unleashing of concern. Their aim in doing this is to address the questions of how concern manifests itself as an existential constant among humans today and which methods can be employed to deal with it. In this respect, the editors welcome studies from a variety of fields and in different languages for publication in this series.

Law and religions shape societies in many respects. The series Recht und Religionen is dedicated to the complex and ambivalent relationship between law and religious communities and denominations in the past, present and future. In order to do justice to this diversity of topics, the series combines expert contributions by renowned authors written from an inter- or transdisciplinary perspective. All disciplines with a close or broad connection to the topic are addressed: in addition to the relevant disciplines of law, theology, religious studies and philosophy, these include sociology, cultural studies, history, political science, education and art studies. Only in this way can the Recht und Religionen series live up to its goal and high standard of documenting the research fields of law and religions from multiple perspectives and in an up-to-date manner, as well as presenting new perspectives and research approaches to a broad audience.

The series of publications entitled ‘Theologie, Bildung, Ethik und Recht’ (‘Theology, Education, Ethics and Law’) contains academic contributions on subjects that are not only particularly relevant in terms of Islamic and theological thinking today but also in terms of classifying discourse that is related to Islam. The series’ broad thematic scope is intended to promote interdisciplinary exchange between the four subject areas mentioned in its title. Its academic approach connects innovative research perspectives and critical discussions with traditional knowledge of Islam, and it aims to provide both experts and any other readers interested in this subject area with access to the findings of current research. Furthermore, the series aims to provide a forum for discussion on current issues and debates from Islam and theology as well as for reflections on theology, education, ethics and law from other academic disciplines.

Academically sound and written in comprehensible language, the volumes in this series introduce the central research areas in, theories on and methods used in media- and communication studies, while conveying the subject’s fundamental study contents for prospective academics. The books’ consistent problem orientation and the didactic preparation of their individual chapters facilitate access to the subject’s specialist content. This series is ideally suited to exam preparation, among other things by means of summaries, questions which test knowledge, comprehension questions, charts and thematic cross-references.

With a critical perspective on the philosophy of education, the series Erziehung, Schule, Gesellschaft publishes theoretical, cultural, social, and historical research and studies on topics related to education, teaching, and learning. Particular attention is paid to interdisciplinary and international perspectives under the conditions of cultural and epistemic change in late modernity. Apart from monographies and edited volumes, outstanding academic theses in German and English are published in the series.
