Die Zeitschrift Psychoanalytische Familientherapie (PaFt) trägt zur praxisorientierten wissenschaftlichen Auseinandersetzung mit Problemen und Konzepten der psychoanalytisch orientierten Paar- und Familientherapie bei.

Sie bietet ein Diskussionsforum für all diejenigen, die sich auf dem Gebiet der psychoanalytisch orientierten Paar-, Familien- und Sozialtherapie fachlich informieren und klinisch wie theoretisch weiterentwickeln wollen, sowie für Angehörige von Berufsgruppen, die in psychoanalytisch orientierter Familienberatung oder Sozialtherapie tätig sind.

Sie ist Verbandsorgan des Bundesverbandes Psychoanalytische Paar- und Familientherapie e.V. (BvPPF).
