Summary

Mit steigender Lebenserwartung wächst auch der Bedarf älterer Menschen an Beratung und psychotherapeutischer Hilfe.

Die Zeitschrift Psychotherapie im Alter (PiA) hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, an der Entwicklung eines differenzierten und profilierten Verständnisses von Alterspsychotherapie mitzuwirken. Angesiedelt an den Schnittstellen von Wissenschaft und Praxis bietet die Zeitschrift ein Forum für den Austausch über Psychotherapie und Soziotherapie des Alterns. Die PiA fördert diesen fachlichen Austausch über Therapieschulen, unterschiedliche Arbeitsfelder und Berufsgruppen hinweg.

In vier Themenheften pro Jahr wird je ein Schwerpunktthema in Übersichtsartikeln und fallorientierten Darstellungen aus unterschiedlicher Perspektive erörtert. Anwendungsbezogene empirische Arbeiten, Buch- und Zeitschriftenbesprechungen sowie Institutionsbeschreibungen ergänzen aktuelle Informationen zum Feld.
