Festivals and games are important cultural and social factors in Greek-Roman antiquity that are often not considered in the classroom. This volume, which contains the lectures held at the 30th Summer Academy of the Ministry of Education of the State of Baden-Württemberg, illuminates the festivals and games in antiquity from philological-literary, ancient historical, epigraphical and archaeological perspectives, with special consideration given to didactic issues.
