Summary

This book examines the return from exile to Colombia from an ethnographic perspective. Based on the individual cases of three women who represent different generations and forms of expression of the left-wing opposition, the author describes the challenges of the return process and the different ways in which it is realised and experienced. The focus lies on the processual nature of biography, the negotiation of home, recognition and belonging as well as the role and function of political affiliation in the return process.
