Summary
The question of whether traces of postcolonialism can be found in EU law, has hardly been researched to date – and was the subject of the working session of the ‘European Law’ expert group at the conference of the ‘Gesellschaft für Rechtsvergleichung’ in Berlin in 2024. Under the theme ‘Global North – Global South’, the EU's relationship with the former colonies of some of its Member States was put up for discussion: the constitutional association of overseas countries and territories, the contractual arrangements governing economic relations with the countries of the ‘global South’ and migration policy law. This supplement brings together the written versions of the lectures given on these topics. With contributions by Fahad Al-Sadoon | Prof. Dr. Oliver Dörr, LL.M. | Fabian Endemann | Prof. Dr. Peter Hilpold | Prof. Dr. Till Müller-Ibold | Prof. Dr. Karsten Nowrot, LL.M. | Pia Lotta Storf
