Der Band zeigt die (post-)jugoslawischen Anti-Kriegs-Bewegungen als einen wichtigen, aber bisher vernachlässigten Aspekt des komplexen Prozesses des Zerfalls von Jugoslawien. Mit explizit transnationalem Anspruch, analysiert der Band die Relevanz verschiedener Formen ziviler Organisation im früheren Jugoslawien im Hinblick auf das Anti-Kriegs-Engagement, das sich vor, während und nach den Kriegen entfaltete.
