Encounters between different cultures of knowledge can be unsettling for both parties. Everything that in one academic or artistic discipline is considered secure knowledge loses its self-evidence in the face of both inter-, trans-, and post-disciplinary concepts, as well as concrete encounters. At the same time, experimental spaces can also open up in which ideas can be thought about differently and even generated through alternative forms and methods. In theoretical articles and with the use of concrete and experimental examples, the contributions in this book pursue the resonances as well as dissonances, possible zones of contact, common potentials, and new areas of interest which can arise out of discursive encounters between various areas of scholarship and the arts.
