»Die Zukunft gehört den Phantomen«

Kunst und Politik nach Derrida

Summary

"The future belongs to the phantoms", Jacques Derrida stated in the movie Ghost Dance in 1983. In his future - our present tense - the authors of this text-picture book set out to pursue their traces in aesthetics, literary studies, musicology, political philosophy, the arts and psychoanalysis. Based on the guidelines of his processing of the phantom, this un-creature, experts and readers of Derrida paint an impressive picture of deconstruction, showing that it has nothing in common with any preference for obscurantism as it was claimed in the past and that the current allegation of the refusal to accept reality does not apply to it but that it rather infinitely serves the radical clarification of reason about itself. Including a contribution by Jacques Derrida published in German for the first time.
