Summary

“How should a world be constituted for a moral being?” This question is at the centre of this treatise and at the same time the vanishing point of Schelling's engagement with Spinoza. In this work, the author not only understands to reveal the dynamics of this relationship in a unique way, but also to lay out the actuality of questions of a philosophia perennis for our present day, such as the relationship between the infinite and the finite, system and freedom or pantheism and evil. The book is relevant for researchers in the field of early modern philosophy and German Idealism as well as for students who are beginners in philosophy.
