The program of sociology is to understand and explain what is social. To do so, subjects are explored differently in theory, and each is examined practically. The series "10 Minutes of Sociology" brings both into relation with each other. The contributions of each volume explore a specific subject – here: "materiality" – conceptually from various perspectives and apply the knowledge gained to a specific case. This sensitizes the sociological viewpoint on a this-might-be-different perception of social facts.
