Summary
With which concepts can societies confront the gradual aging of their populations? In this book, various disciplines offer proposals for a different way of dealing with age and aging, and for overcoming stereotypes: the essays reflect on literary images of aging and conceptions of aging, sketch out a culture of aging based on ethics, discuss the restructuring of society into an age-free participatory society, consider possibilities for ongoing, needs-based development of expert knowledge in companies through systematic human resources development and testing for weak spots in order to alter the current conditions of aging.
