Zusammenfassung
Das Werk befasst sich mit Digital Commons. Diese gehören zu den neuen Organisationsformen, die im Bereich der digitalen Wirtschaft entwickelt wurden, und fallen unter den Begriff "Netzwerkunternehmen", die die klassischen hierarchischen Formen von Unternehmen durch eine horizontale Zusammenarbeit zwischen unabhängigen Akteuren ersetzen. Es handelt sich dabei um hybride Organisationsformen, die sowohl Märkte als auch Hierarchien als die beiden wichtigsten Organisationsformen der konventionellen Wirtschaft ablehnen. Sie beruhen auf individueller Autonomie in Verbindung mit egalitären Kooperationsmechanismen und versuchen, das Beste aus der Organisationsstruktur von Unternehmen herauszuholen, ohne die individuelle Autonomie zu opfern.
