Zusammenfassung

Der Band enthält die Proceedings der internationalen Konferenz KOMEEO (Knowledge Organization and Management in the domain of Environment and Earth Observation), die im Rahmen des europäischen Programms ERA-PLANET (The European Network for observing our changing Planet) H2020 organisiert wurde. In den Beiträgen werden Forschungsprojekte und Erfahrungen im Zusammenhang mit verschiedenen Aspekten der Organisation von Wissen im Umweltbereich vorgestellt, dem die Europäische Union heutzutage große Aufmerksamkeit schenkt. Sie befassen sich insbesondere mit Themen im Zusammenhang mit Wissensorganisationssystemen (KOS), ihrer Anwendung in spezifischen Kontexten, der Extraktion von Metadaten und der Erreichung semantischer Interoperabilität.
