Zusammenfassung

Wie wirken Glaube und Kultur zusammen? Am Beispiel des Igbo-Stammes in Nigeria erläutert Jude Ezimakor ihr Zusammenspiel und zeigt, wie der christliche Glaube sich mit der menschlichen Kultur verbinden kann, um ein authentisches Glaubenszeugnis in der konkreten alltäglichen Erfahrung abzulegen. Dabei geht er insbesondere der Frage nach, wer Jesus Christus für eine bestimmte Gemeinschaft von Gläubigen ist und welche Bedeutung er in ihrem heutigen Leben und ihrer speziellen kulturellen Lebenssituationen vermitteln kann. Auf diese Weise beginnt die Christologie, Orthodoxie und Orthopraxie mit der Frage zu verschmelzen: Wie wird der Glaube in einem besonderen sozial-kulturellen Kontext lebendig, um ihn weiterzuentwickeln?
