Zusammenfassung

Die mittelbronzezeitlichen Friedhöfe wurden 1991 in den Sanddünen von Rishon le-Zion entdeckt und in den 1990ern in einer Serie von Rettungsgrabungen erforscht. Band 1 ist der Beschreibung der ca. 200 Graber gewidmet, die sich auf 6 Areale verteilen. Alle Gräber sind mit Photos und Plänen illustriert. Band 2 konzentriert sich auf die ausgegrabenen Objekte: Keramik, Waffen, Metall-Gürtel und andere metallene Objekte, Perlen und organisches Material. Von besonderer Bedeutung ist die Sammlung von ca. 150 ägyptischen Skarabäen, die nun vollständig und illustriert publiziert wird.

The Rishon le-Zion Middle Bronze Age cemeteries were discovered at the beginning of 1991 in the area known as the Rishon le-Zion Sand Dunes and excavated in the 1990s within a decade of salvage excavations. Volume 1 is devoted to the description of ca. 200 graves excavated within 6 different areas. All graves are illustrated by photos and detailed plans. Volume 2 focuses on the excavated objects, i.e. pottery, weapons, metal belts and other metal finds, beads and organic material. Of special interest is the large collection of ca. 150 Egyptian scarabs, now published and illustrated in its entirety.
