Zusammenfassung

Namibia - das frühere Südwestafrika - ist eines der trockensten Länder der Erde, weshalb seine unberührte Umwelt besonders empfindlich und schutzbedürftig ist. In dieser Publikation werden nationales Umweltrecht und namibische Umweltpolitik im Zusammenspiel mit internationalen Umweltnormen und -standards untersucht. Auch das Umweltrecht der Afrikanischen Union und der Entwicklungsgemeinschaft des südlichen Afrikas wird behandelt. Die Publikation reflektiert rechtliche und politische Optionen zur Regulierung von Sektor relevanten Umweltinteressen, die auch für die internationale Entwicklungszusammenarbeit und wirtschaftlichen Austausch relevant sind.
