Zusammenfassung
Der Schutz und die nachhaltige Bewirtschaftung von Böden sind eine Vorbedingung für nachhaltige Entwicklung und Nahrungsmittelsicherheit. Afrika ist derzeit noch der Kontinent mit der geringsten Bodendegradation, der Druck auf Böden ist aber enorm hoch. Faktoren wie Armut, Hunger, Übernutzung, Überbevölkerung und Klimawandel verstärken den Trend. Vor diesem Hintergrund liefert das Werk „African Soil Protection Law“ eine vergleichende Analyse der rechtlichen, gesellschaftlichen und politischen Rahmenbedingungen. Basierend auf Länderstudien in Kamerun, Kenia und Sambia werden die wichtigsten Probleme und Herausforderungen vergleichend analysiert und herausgearbeitet.
