The series includes commentaries, critical editions, and monographs on core problems of Greek texts, analyzed with the methods of philology to contribute to the scientific understanding of antiquity: Diotima embodies the relationship between knowledge and poetic depth in the sign of beauty.

Starting since 2019, the Eleatica series gives rise to a second side project, Eleatica Supplementa. The aim of this sub-series is to publish outstanding monographs or essay collections on Eleaticism, so as to offer a further contribute to the scientific literature on the issue. While Eleatica proposes debates among leading specialists in the field, focused on the lectiones magistrales of a well-known scholar, the Supplementa present in-depth studies on specific topics written by scholars that put forward innovative or particularly relevant interpretations. The series is addressed primarily to the community of specialists in Ancient Philosophy, but also to students and more generally the cultured public interested in the origins of Western thought.

The series Philosophische Theorie (Philosophical Theory) contains works dealing with the core disciplines of theoretical philosophy: logic, epistemology, philosophy of science, philosophy of language, metaphysics and ontology. It will appeal to both academics and all those interested in philosophy who would like to learn more about the respective fields.

The Austrian Center of Philosophy with Children (ACPC) has been actively supporting the scientific research and practical implementation of Philosophy with Children and Youth ever since 1985. Philosophy and literature have been related to each other since the dawn of history, and it seems extremely difficult to draw a clear dividing line between them. At the point where philosophy raises fundamental questions about the world and human existence, it encroaches onto a topic area also addressed by poetry and literature, although they use different means in doing so. This means that the relationship between philosophy and literature is not limited to a collection of related or mutual themes, questions and issues, but that it also particularly involves the reciprocal exchange of forms and formats of philosophical and poetic spoken and written expression. This series of publications intends to shed greater light on the fascinating interconnections between philosophy and literature, their affinity, mutual complementarity and differences, and in doing so to investigate both the literary dimensions of philosophy and the philosophical dimensions of literature using relevant case studies and selected problems.

Incisive social transformations turn the focus on spatial forms of organization of social relations. Changes such as the increasing survey of outer space and the growing visualization of the interior of the human body bring up the following questions: In what kind of spaces do we live? How are they created? Who is in charge? The interdisciplinary series sets itself the task to elaborate on these questions from various points of view.

The series, Comparative Politics. Vergleichende Politikwissenschaft, is firmly anchored in the field of comparative political research and presents innovative studies comprising theory-guided empirical research or exploring new theoretical and conceptual ground. The series is not limited to specific theories, methods, or topics. On the theoretical side, we invite books that invoke theories such as rational choice, game theory and institutional theories as well as political attitudes, values, and political culture. Substantively, contributions to the series should belong to the field of comparative politics as it is broadly understood. Comparisons can, for example, involve countries from all regions of the world and subnational units within countries (like the German Länder or Swiss Kantone). Following a classic distinction, these comparisons can extend to polities (e.g., constitutions), politics, and policies from an array of fields such as welfare policy, foreign policy, or judicial policy. Methodologically, we are interested in books doing a rigorous empirical analysis based on the informed application of a wide range of social science methods. Thus, the series invites the submission of books using some form of quantitative analysis, ranging from simple regression to more advanced techniques such as multilevel and structural equation modeling. This will also include qualitative case studies, Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA), social network analysis, manual and computer-based content analysis, and any combination of multiple methods in a mixed-method design.

Many smaller polities are well known both for their special achievements as well as for particular problems of democratic governance. The political and scientific relevance of these experiences reaches well beyond the borders of the countries immediately concerned. For this reason, the study of smaller countries has long become a constituent part of international democracy and governance research. This series creates a forum specifically dedicated to the analysis of politics and democratic governance in the smaller European countries including their international aspects. The series encompasses case studies as well as comparative contributions whose focus is not necessarily strictly confined to the family of smaller democracies in Europe. The international team of accomplished editors ensures that volumes published in this series will meet the highest standards of international research.
