Textbook series for students of health science, nursing, nursing science and nursing management as well as midwifery and midwifery science. The study course "Health and Nursing" provides a quick and comprehensible introduction to the central topics of the entire health sciences (including health management, health economics or public health), nursing (including nursing science, nursing management or nursing education) as well as midwifery. The aim of the series is to illuminate and interpret lines of development in political thought from antiquity to modernity from a systematic and historical perspective. In a systematic comparison of influential thinkers from antiquity, modern times and modernity, traditional categories of interpretation of political thought in Europe are to be researched and reflected upon. The guiding pairs of opposites are, on the one hand, the interplay of tension between principle-oriented normativity and, on the other, the centre of gravity of power, state and social order. The series sees itself as a platform for works that deal with the ethical, social, ecological and economic challenges of the 21st century from a philosophical, historical and political-theoretical/normative perspective.
