Germany’s leading platform for digital academic resources is about to launch: Inlibra.

By combining the content and functionality of Nomos eLibrary, Beck eLibrary, and VDI Verlag-eLibrary, Inlibra will create a powerful new platform. It will provide libraries, research institutions, and businesses with central access to premium academic and professional resources from over 100 distinguished publishers. All content can be searched via a unified interface and permanently cited. The forward-looking platform will also feature AI enhancements.

  • Yes. All existing access rights, licences and activations will be automatically transferred to the new Inlibra platform. Access will continue seamlessly.

  • Yes, your existing licence models will remain in effect. In addition, new models and combined offers will become available in the future. We will notify you in advance of new options and the upcoming consortial offer in 2026 via our usual communication channels.

  • The migration will take place at the beginning of 2026. DOI links will remain permanently valid and will automatically redirect to the new Inlibra URL. Your existing authentication methods, such as IP range or Shibboleth, will also be transferred.

  • No. Existing login and authentication methods will remain in place. Your users will continue to access content as usual via IP, Shibboleth or remote access, but through a single, modern interface.

  • For the first time, Inlibra brings together the complete programme of over 100 publishers on a single platform. You will benefit from consolidated reporting, a centralised backend, and standardised metadata, meaning less administrative effort is required. Your users will enjoy an improved search experience, AI support, personalisation features, as well as a significantly enhanced user journey. These new features will be introduced gradually over the next 12 months.
