Online-Beteiligung in der Lärmaktionsplanung/Online-participation in noise action planning: Experiences from science and praxis in the Ruhr Area

The Environmental Noise Directive and thus also the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG) require public participation in preparation for noise action planning. Regularly, only a few people take advantage of this opportunity. With the help of online participation, attempts are being made to involve more and diverse people. This article presents an application for online participation in noise action planning (DiPS_LAP) from the Lab for Digital Participatory Spatial analysis (DiPS_Lab). The application has so far been used in the cities of Bochum, Dortmund and Gelsenkirchen. The objectives, content and technical design, exemplary results, integration into practical noise action planning and an outlook are described below.
