Generative KI im Spiegel des Urheberrechts – Bericht zur gleichnamigen Tagung an der Freien Universität Berlin vom 23.02.2024 –

Artificial intelligence is currently the subject of intense debate in connection with copyright issues. This article provides an overview of the conference on “Generative AI as reflected in copyright law” held at Free University Berlin in February 2024. After an introduction to the technical basics, the conference focused on the German perspective and the international dimension. Finally, the big picture, i. e. the question of the effects of artificial intelligence on creativity and artistic creation, was examined in more detail and approaches to solutions were discussed.
