time in the photo collages of Holly Bynoe. Taking a cue from Michel
Poivert, Hezekiah both recognizes and moves beyond the social fact of
decolonial representation in these images towards an investigation of
the psychic fact of consciousness that is inherent in them. Drawing
from the insights of Henri Bergson and Jean-Paul Sartre, the author
suggests that Bynoe returns the viewer to a form of duration that one
might call an archival present, allowing time itself to be imaged in
consciousness.},
