presence in the UK. Neither a Christian Right (in the American sense
of the term) nor a fully-fledged movement, conservative Christian
activists and groups in the UK have used the judicial process as
politics by other means. Being a political minority forecloses certain
tactics to achieve their policy goals, so Christian Right activists in
the UK have found success by mounting court challenges. It might be
that victories around the margins will build to a central movement, or
it might be that institutional and social hindrances remain
insurmountable for a fully-fledged Christian Right in the UK.},
