Die sozioökonomische Entwicklung in Deutschland bestimmt seit langem einen sich ausweitenden Unterschied in den Lebensbedingungen von Familien und Kindern. Veränderungen in der gesellschaftlichen Entwicklung haben dazu geführt, dass sich Familien immer häufiger in besonderen Lebenslagen befinden. Dies geht in der Regel mit Belastungen einher, die Eltern in der Bewältigung ihrer Erziehungs- und Förderaufgaben unter Druck setzen. Viele Eltern benötigen oftmals eine Unterstützung im Hinblick auf eine Stärkung ihrer Bewältigungskompetenzen.
