Der Beitrag analysiert die auf den Bildungsbereich fokussierte (Exekutiv-)Politik der beiden Amtszeiten Donald Trumps aus einer genealogischen Perspektive, die sich auf die anti-intellektuellen Traditionen im US-amerikanischen Konservatismus ab den 1950ern und insbesondere auf ihre race-Bezüge konzentriert. Dies macht die tiefe Verankerung bestimmter Rationalisierungsmuster und Kontestationsinitiativen sichtbar, die in der Trump-Regierung reartikuliert, radikalisiert und rekombiniert werden, um ihr autokratisches, anti-modernes politisches Projekt zu legitimieren.
